had to be equal to or greater than the baseline year’s contributions.
This requirement was eliminated during the 2009 Legislative Session.

To take advantage of this tax credit
Donate to an organization that serves the working poor. Communities In Schools of Arizona qualifies!
Prepare your taxes, itemizing your charitable contributions. Complete AZ Form 321 and include it with your state tax forms.
It’s that easy!
What does this mean to me?It costs you nothing to donate to the good work of Communities In Schools of Arizona!
A tax credit reduces your final tax liability. It comes right off the top of your state tax bill, lowering the amount of money you will pay. Although your charitable contributions increase, your tax liability is decreased by the same amount ⎯ up to $400 if filing jointly; $200 if filing a single tax return.
The Arizona Charitable Tax Credit for organizations that serve the working poor is different from the tax credit you can receive for supporting private school tuition and public school extra-curricular activities. You are eligible to receive dollar-for-dollar tax credits for all three.
Remember:
You must complete and include AZ Form 321 with your state tax forms in order to receive a tax credit for your donation.
Communities In Schools of Arizona will automatically send an AZ Form 321 along with an acknowledgement letter when you put “tax credit” in the memo line of your donation check.
The form is also available from your tax preparer.
