2008 Supplies 4 Students a Success!

Thanks to over 50 business and community partners and 200 volunteers for helping Supplies 4 Students collect, sort, and distribute over 2,500 backpacks stuffed with supplies to needy students across the Valley.

Thousands of valley students were able to start the school year with the supplies they need to be successful and stay in school.

Here is an overview of this year's program:

Supply drives were held by over 50 partners - businesses, community agencies, churches and other groups - across the valley during the month of July.

Over $8,800 was raised to purchase backpacks and support the program.

Over 2,500 backpacks were collected and stuffed as well as thousands more supplies for students and teachers.*

200 volunteers came together on sorting days to sort through supplies and stuff each backpack with supplies.

10 business and community partners joined us at the Supplies 4 Students Celebration to hand out backpacks to 180 students at Excelencia School in Phoenix.

20 schools, 1 district resource center, and 1 family resource center benefited from the drive.**
