Mission
Communities In Schools of Arizona (CISA) was established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in October of 1994, with a mission to champion the connection of needed community resources with schools to help young people successfully learn, stay in school and prepare for life.
CISA believes that every child needs and deserves "Five Basics":
- a one-on-one relationship with a caring adult,
- a healthy start and a healthy future,
- a safe place to learn and grow,
- a marketable skill to use upon graduation
- a chance to give back to the community and peers.
Our goal, through our mission and the Five Basics, is to help every child learn, stay in school and successfully prepare for life.
